'Carpo - Goddess of Autumn & Harvest' Original Watercolor Painting

£400.00

This is my watercolor interpretation of the goddess Carpo. In Greek mythology, Carpo is the goddess of autumn, responsible for providing food for the community, and for the ripening and harvesting of produce. She was also in charge of guarding the way to Mount Olympus.

Carpo is one of the Horae, a group of goddesses who represented the four seasons. The other Horae were Eiar (spring), Theros (summer), and Phthinoporon (winter).

The name Carpo is related to the Roman and Greek character Karpos, who was associated with fertility and springtime

All Images from Spectrum Art Studio’s Catalogue and Collections are Licensed and Copyrighted

The painting is 297mm by 420mm (A3) and Painted on 300gsm 100% cotton watercolor paper
